What if you had a friend that was constantly flaking on you. She came up with lame excuses like “I really want to see you but I can’t not watch MAFS tonight”
Would you respect her? Would you trust her? Would you believe anything she said to you?
This level of mistrust and dis-respect applies to your sub-conscious too….it knows you cannot be trusted after breaking so many plans & giving up on so many goals!!
SOUND FAMILIAR??
On the flip side…do you know someone who has always kept her word, always shows up and is always there for you? When she commits to something, how seriously do you take HER commitments?
I know that blowing off a workout, a date or even an afternoon to organise your closet or any other commitment to yourself doesn’t seem like a big deal, BUT IT IS!. It’s a REALLY BIG DEAL.
OUR WORDS HAVE POWER, BUT OUR ACTIONS SHAPE OUR LIVES!
Imagine if you chose today to not break another promise to yourself. You would have to start saying no to others In order to say yes to yourself! You would slow down to think things through….to ask yourself what will work for YOU
